A blood disorder prevented him from healing properly, and after learning he would be a paraplegic then regress to a quadriplegic in the few years he had left to live, he committed suicide when Rousey was eight.

The following summer, it was announced that Rousey would be joining season 3 of the procedural drama series 9-1-1, as a member of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
After meeting the fellow martial artist, Timothy DiGorrio in 2012 in LA, California, Ronda Rousey started dating him. They were together for a year before calling it quits in 2013. Additionally, from 2013 to 2014, she was romantically linked with the retired mixed martial artist, Brendan Schaub.
